Steven Cooler currently attends Georgia Southern University pursuing degrees in

Music Composition and Music Education. While at Georgia Southern, he has

performed with the “Southern Pride” Marching Band, Percussion Ensemble, and

Georgia Southern Orchestra as a percussionist as well as the Symphonic Wind

Ensemble, Wind Symphony, Orchestra and Opera programs as an oboist. In addition

to his performances at Georgia Southern University, Steven also had the opportunity

of being a part of ALLIANCE Drum & Bugle Corps for the 2015 season as a marimba player and 2016 season as a drum major. He currently performs with the front ensemble within the Atlanta Quest organization for the 2017 season.

A native of Savannah, GA, Steven has been studying music for over a decade and has

had the privilege of studying with Kristi Kiene, Jason Onks, Adrian Gnam, and Reed

Hannah. He plays regularly in the greater Savannah area and is excited to join the

wonderful educational staff at the Springfield Music and Arts Center.
